Śnieżka has been recognized as one of the largest and most valuable companies. FFiL Śnieżka was ranked 29th among the companies from the Industry and construction sector in the “Pearls of the Polish Stock Exchange” ranking which covers the most valuable companies. One of the criteria in the ranking, prepared by the Parkiet stock exchange newspaper, was company’s market value. For Śnieżka this stood at PLN 651 million at the end of 2007, an increase of 23.05 per cent over the last three years. This excellent result allowed the company to achieve this high position in the ranking. Śnieżka did very well in other rankings too. In the “Polityka Five Hundred”, published for the fifteenth time, the company had strengthened its position by advancing over 36 places in comparison with the previous edition. This distinction is particularly important because the ranking – prepared by journalists of the most popular opinion-forming weekly – includes the largest companies from several sectors: production, trade and services. Almost at the same time that Parkiet and Polityka were publishing their rankings, the Rzeczpospolita newspaper prepared its own “Top 500” list, and here again FFiL Śnieżka was ranked high.
