"Śnieżka" Paints and Varnishes Plant S.A. is currently number two in the industry in Poland, both in terms of quantity and value. The Company achieved such a high position in the market in a period of only 20 years - the Company started in 1984. The plant employed then - together with its owners - only a small number of people.
Initially, nitro-products, thinners, polyesters, polyvinyl products were made and as timepassed, the company range was gradually extended with further products such as: emulsion and phthalic goods, glues, and putties. Even then these high-quality products were popular on the local market. The Company started to operate under the name of "Chemal" S.c. Paints and Varnishes Plant in Brzeźnica in 1990. From that year on extensive investment began. The huge market demand for paints and varnishes manufactured by the plant persuaded the owners to create two further manufacturing subsidiaries: in Lubzina and in Pustków. The date of 1st April 1998 was an important moment in the Company when two civil partnerships then operating were merged into a joint stock company, and the name of the company changed to the one still functioning up to today: "Śnieżka" Paints and Varnishes Plant S.A.
In December 2003 shares of "Śnieżka" Paints and Varnishes Plant S.A. appeared on the Warsaw Stock Exchange - the financial resources acquired from the sale of shares were invested in the extension and further development of the Company.
Today "Śnieżka" is a modern plant employing more than 500 people and producing approximately 70 million litres yearly of a variety of chemical products used in the construction industry in the domestic market and foreign markets.
